ATL Celebrates Black Music Month

on June 24, 2020 - 6:19pm

Established in 1979 by president Jimmy Carter, Black Music Month is an unapologetic celebration of and a sincere homage to Black artists and their long standing contributions to American music and culture. From Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding, to Public Enemy, F.LY., Missy Elliott, and Roddy Ricch. This month we’ll travel through time, highlighting and exploring the rich legacy and timeless catalogs of Black artists.

Black music cannot be contained nor defined. It’s soul, it’s blues, it’s pop, it’s hip-hop, it’s country, it’s rap, it’s afrobeats.
