After a nationwide summer-long tour Portugal. The Man and Grouplove closed out the Honda Civic Tour in Central Park in the heart of New York City. Fans gathered in Rumsey Playfield as the sun set to catch both bands rock out.

Grouplove went on first as fans cheered and sang along to their first song “I’m With You.” The band danced around on stage and played a mix of songs from both their albums and even their epic cover of Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love” before closing things out with “Ways to Go” and “Colours.” Or so fans thought… Grouplove quickly jumped back on stage along with Portugal. The Man to perform what they deemed one of the best songs of all time, The Who’s “Baba O’Riley.”

In keeping with the theme of classic hit rock songs, Portugal took the stage and started things off with their take on Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall Part 2” before fading into “Purple Yellow Red and Blue.” Fans sang along to each and every song including a hilarious cover of “Day Man” from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia! The band closed things out with a cover of The Beatles’ “Hey Jude” which fans went nuts for.  It’s safe to say next year’s Honda Civic Tour has some big shoes to fill!
