Already a runaway success in their home country of Iceland, the four-piece band Kaleo has arrived in the United States on a mission to bring their unique mix of folk, blues, country, and rock to a larger audience. Kaleo, which means “the sound” in Hawaiian, is carving out a place for their music, and the results are sure to be awesome.

Equipped with amazing songs and an even more amazing story, best friends JJ Juliusson (bandleader), David Antonsson Crivello (drummer), and Danny Jones (bassist) started making music together while still in their teens. In 2012, the group added guitarist Rubin Pollock. Today they are a gelled, musical force making considerable headway with their dynamic sound and earth-shattering stage performance.

The band’s breakout single “All The Pretty Girls” is heating up the radio and has millions of streams online. Check out the official music video! In a recent interview about the song, JJ comments, “It’s a very delicate song. It seemed to speak to a lot of people.” This band’s multi-layered, genre-bending style has left many fans wanting more.

With performances at the SXSW Music Festival and a tour on the horizon with labelmate Vance Joy, Kaleo has nothing but bright days ahead. Their amazing sound and fiery compositions place them in a class all their own. Check out more tracks on iTunes and Spotify to discover why these guys are artists to watch in 2015!
