Nutini and his crack band have just been booked to perform “Candy” live on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, set for Thursday, September 10th (check local listings).

A companion video for “Candy” – filmed in Cuba under the direction of Nez (Lily Allen, Kano) – is currently in “Medium” rotation at VH1, where it has been a fixture on the network’s Top 20 Countdown.

Paolo is also confirmed to perform on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Tuesday, 9/22. Mark your calendars.

Every effort is being made to reschedule the show for 2010. As soon as we have more news you'll be the first to know, and don't worry; tickets can be refunded from the point of purchase.

In other news, the 22nd November show at X-tra Zurich is now SOLD OUT, so expect one hell of a show!

The 42nd Montreux Jazz Festival saw Paolo Nutini invited to play at the celebration of Quincy Jones' 75th Birthday to celebrate alongside some legendary names - Petula Clark, Mick Hucknall, Al Jarreau, Chaka Khan, Herbie Hancock and Patti Austin. Paolo performed the classic 'Going To Chicago' with Petula Clark, and a tune on his own - the Quincy-penned 'Strawberry Letter 23'. He nailed them both!

Quincy Jones joined all the artists and musicians on stage at the end of the concert to thank them all personally! He singled out Paolo for special praise saying "You're such a young man with an amazing future ahead of you." He also picked up on Paolo's Scottish roots too and was overjoyed at the nights amazing array of star singers - all for his 75th Birthday!

It's with great pleasure and no small amount of excitement that we announce Paolo Nutini's live return to these shores.

After a cracking few months Stateside Paolo will be debuting songs from his hotly anticipated second album when he headlines day two of the prestigious Splendour Festival in Nottingham on July 20th.

Splendour takes place across Saturday July 19th and Sunday July 20th, also appearing are the likes of Kate Nash, The Maccabees and The Charlatans.

Tickets are just £15 for Nottingham residents with a Citycard, but any non-residents wanting to witness Paolo's live return (we believe there may be quite a few of you) can attend for just £25.

Paolo himself had this to say:

"Headlining Splendour this summer will be a great chance to play Nottingham some songs from my new record - expect some ukuleles, bongos, harmonicas and a whole lotta trumpets!

Paolo will rock the Hydro Connect Festival at Inveraray Castle in Argyll, Scotland this August Bank Holiday weekend (Friday 29th – Sunday 31st August).

Paolo hits the stage on Saturday 30th August and can’t wait to see his home crowd again:

Paolo is set to star in the new, global brand advert for PUMA performing – what else? The international hit song "New Shoes".

The campaign kicks off in North America in April and it will follow around the world in June... hitting TV screens for the BIG sporting events taking place in 2008. UK/Europe for the European Football Championships and Japan/China/Asia for the Beijing Olympics!

Paolo filmed the advert in Scotland back in January and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience...

"We had a laugh making the TV advert in Glasgow with the street dancers from New York and the best of America’s finest film makers! I’m really looking forward to 2008 – my second record will be released, the European Football Championships in the Summer, the Olympics in Beijing and the association with PUMA – it’s going to be great!
