"The Instrumental" is a take on two individuals in similar objective circumstances but with very dissimilar subjective frames of mind, one of immense admiration and the other intense abhorrence but the end result being both individuals rationally addicted to the irrational circumstances they find themselves in.

The television and the radio have been deconstructed to simple boxes each sending endless streams of information both useful and useless.

Th first individual constantly observes the box under the faint pretext he will observe information that will instruct him on how to discontinue his obsession with the box. He is caught in a feedback loop (also a principle of marketing) which has an inherent mechanism that infinitely justifies its own existence... life events...Just look at what you are doing now...looking to the box for...

Lupe, Justin Timberlake & singer/rapper Kenna are teaming up to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa, in an effort to raise awareness for the worldwide water crisis. When asked about his motivation to hike up the 19,000-foot peak, Lupe Fiasco joked, "Part of the motivation is beating Kenna to the top. Sabotaging his tent, taking the lining out of his coat, lacing it with ants or something like that." The three are set to embark on their journey this fall. Find out more info on their climb here!

Starting tonight in Hollywood, Grammy award-winning hip hop artist Lupe Fiasco will bring his hits, “Kick, Push” and “Superstar” to lucky teens, ages 13-17, across the country for an exclusive, invitation only concert tour created by Coca-Cola North America. The “Coca-Cola Refresh Your Flow Tour” opens today at the Avalon in Hollywood and will travel to some of the hottest venues in five other cities including: The Electric Factory (Philadelphia, August 3); The Tabernacle (Atlanta, August 8); Park West (Chicago, August 17); LOVE (Washington D.C., August 21); and, The Filmore at Irving Plaza (New York City, August 29).Up-and-coming artist Karina Pasian will open the show.

Lupe’s favorite artists like Kenna, N.E.R.D., Saigon, Rich Boy, U.N.K.L.E, Mos Def, Cool Kids, Sway, Eric Lau, Trey Songz, Mick Luter. A skateboard design contest judged by Lupe with a chance to win a limited edition production run by legendary skateboard company Element Skateboards and a feature with the leading street couture publication Vapors Magazine (Lupesboard.imeem.com) and exclusive features from Lupe, including a guest playlist, sneak peek of his new album, “The Cool,” a shout-out to his fans, and more!
