JET: Stars Come Out At Jet's Spaceland Gig

Jet performed a special show at their favourite LA club, Spaceland, on Sunday evening to a sold out room full of fans and friends, and are happy to report they had an absoloute whale of a time. Playing a mixture of songs from GET BORN and SHINE ON with an emphaisis on numbers that haven't seen the light of day for a while - such as 'Radio Song', 'Timothy', and 'Come Around Again' to name but a few - it was a fantastic night. The band were joined on stage by the fabulous Waters Sisters (who sang on the Shine On album) who lent their incredible vocal talents to 'Shine On' and 'All You Have To Do', before the stage became nothing short of the band's own version of the Make A Wish Foundation.

Stepping up first, one of rock's true greats, Slash took to the stage for a killer run through the Stones' 'Salt Of The Earth', Les Paul in hand, cig in mouth, and guitar work to make your eyes water. Next up, Black Crowes soul man, Mr Chris Robinson sauntered on and blew everybody's mind with his amazing vocals in 'Be My Baby', before taking it to an ever higher plane with a cracking take on The Faces 'Miss Judy's Farm' - and if that's not enough for ya, the band was also joined by yet another of the true greats, Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols. The man can play, let there be no doubt.

For the final song, the stage was packed full across the front as Slash rejoined the party and the entire ensemble - Jet, Slash, Jonesy and Chris Robinson - led the room in one of the finest versions of 'Ooh La La' you're ever likely to hear this side of...well...the original.

Jet would like to thank all their fans and friends who were at the show, and especially the incredible talents of Slash, Steve Jones, Chris Robinson and the Waters Sisters for making the night one of the highlights of their live career. Viva Le Rock!

JET: JET Postpone European Dates

It is with much regret that JET have been forced to postpone part of their current European tour, from 14 to 25 October. Lead singer Nic Cester developed acute laryngitis and completely lost his voice in New York two weeks ago. The band postponed two shows (which have now been re-scheduled) and Nic rested his voice, before completing the rest of their US run. However, despite best efforts, Nic has developed nodules on his vocal chords as a result of returning to the live arena before he had completely recovered. The good news is that the nodules are small and with rest and treatment they should disappear completely. Nic will now spend the next two weeks in London undergoing specialist treatment before recommencing their world touring schedule in support of new album Shine On, which was released last week.

JET would like to apologise to those fans who have already purchased tickets, and the band has vowed to make up all missed shows.

The following dates have been postponed and will be re-scheduled.

JET: Jet Cancel Shows

Jet has been forced to cancel two upcoming shows as lead singer Nic Cester has acute laryngitis. Doctors have ordered Cester to rest for four to five days.

The cancelled dates-Philadelphia tomorrow, September 29th, as well as Toronto on Sunday, October 1st-will be rescheduled sometime in November. The rest of the band will still travel to Toronto for scheduled press and promotional activity. Jet’s tour will resume Tuesday, October 3rd in Los Angeles, where the band is scheduled to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

SHINE ON, Jet’s much-anticipated follow-up to GET BORN, is set to land in stores on October 3rd.

'In Australia, we say, ‘I am absolutely gutted’, when the gravity of the situation is overwhelming. After all the work we’ve done on SHINE ON and on making this tour something special, all of us are very disappointed with the news of Nic’s laryngitis. Canceling shows is not something we take lightly at all. We had to make the tough decision this afternoon to cancel shows in both Philadelphia and Toronto-two cities we have played and loved playing in on numerous occasions. We promise to make these shows up as soon as Nic is recovered and we’re back on the East Coast. Once again, our sincerest apologies to all of our fans. When we return, it will of course be with a vengeance.'

JET: Jet Announce Fall Tour

Jet has announced a series of North American concert dates heralding the upcoming release of their second album, SHINE ON. The Aussie rock sensations' much-anticipated follow-up to 2003's RIAA platinum-plus debut, GET BORN, is set to land in stores on October 3rd.

Jet will kick off the whirlwind 10-city tour at Austin, Texas' La Zona Rosa on September 20th, then travel across the continent through an October 7th show at Las Vegas' the Joint. The band made their long awaited return to the live stage last week with a pair of very special shows in their native Australia - their first in nearly two years. Next, Jet will rock the U.K.'s annual Carling Weekend: Reading & Leeds Festivals on August 26th and 27th. Further tour dates, both in North America and around the world, will be announced in coming weeks.

JET: Jet Ready To 'Shine On'

Jet's long awaited second album, 'SHINE ON,' will hit stores on October 3rd. Produced by Dave Sardy (Oasis, Dirty Pretty Things), the album sees Jet again putting their own contemporary stamp on classic guitar-fuelled rock ‘n’ roll. The album’s first single, 'Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is,' is set to hit airwaves on August 7th.

The Melbourne-based band spent much of 2005 and 2006 writing and demoing 'SHINE ON' at a variety of studios around the world, including Barbados, Massachusetts, and their home country of Australia. The sessions wound up this spring with a burst of creativity at Sardy’s Hillside Manor Studios in Los Angeles.

Along with the release of 'SHINE ON,' Jet will embark on a whirlwind tour of the U.S., slated to run from September 18th through October 6th. The band will return to the States in late-November for a full-blown tour of North America. Tour dates to be annouced soon.
