GNARLS BARKLEY: Gnarls Barkley Announce Summer Festival Appearances

Anxious to get on the road, celebrate the summer, and perform songs from their new album The Odd Couple, Gnarls Barkley have announced a slew of upcoming festival performances.

Gnarls has confirmed 20 dates so far, including: the Roots Picnic in Philly; the Soco Music Experience in Denver; the Quart Festival in Norway; the Roskilde Festival in Denmark; Rock Werchter in Belgium; Eurockness in France; the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland; the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam; the Benicassim Festival in Spain; Lollapalooza in Chicago; and the ACL Festival in Austin.

More will be announced as soon as the band is allowed to disclose.

"Summer is a time to get outside, meet new people, try new things, and dance, in whatever way you dance," said a spokesperson for the band. "If anyone can coax the people outside, Gnarls can. Any excuse for a righteous throwdown."

As some of you know, a lot of our shows are 18 or 21+. We do our
best to accommodate everyone, but many times we don't have control
over the situation. So we want to rectify that as best we can.

T.I. has unveiled early details of his much-anticipated new album, PAPER TRAIL. The follow-up to 2007’s RIAA platinum-certified T.I. vs T.I.P. will arrive in stores and at all digital retailers on August 12th. The multiple Grammy Award-winning rap superstar recently gave fans their first taste of PAPER TRAIL with the online premiere of “No Matter What.” The track – produced by Danjahandz (Timbaland, 50 Cent, Mariah Carey, Danity Kane) – is currently streaming exclusively at www.StreetCred.com. An accomplished actor as well as a gifted rapper and live performer, T.I. has played acclaimed roles in the major motion pictures ATL and American Gangster. Atlantic Records has announced the upcoming release of the debut album from The Virgins. Produced by S*A*M* and Sluggo, the self-titled album from the downtown NYC band arrives in stores and online June 3rd.

Recently named one of Alternative Press’s “100 Bands You Need to Know,” the band will herald “THE VIRGINS” with a series of North American live dates as part of the first ever “NYLON Magazine Music Tour.” Presented by Live Nation in association with the fashion and culture magazine, the tour sees the Virgins highlighting a multi-artist bill. The 36-date itinerary kicks off on May 8th at the House of Blues in Anaheim, then traverses the continent before returning to California for a June 21st tour finale at Los Angeles’ legendary Wiltern Theatre. In addition, the Virgins will perform at a number of upcoming festivals, including the debut All Points West, slated for August 10th at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Shinedown has announced early details of their much-anticipated third album, entitled “THE SOUND OF MADNESS.” The collection -- produced by multiple Grammy Award-winner Rob Cavallo (Kid Rock, Green Day, My Chemical Romance) – will arrive in stores and at online retailers on June 24th.

“THE SOUND OF MADNESS” will be heralded by the lead single, “Devour.” The track will land online and at multi-format rock radio outlets nationwide on May 5th. GNARLS BARKLEY: GNARLS BARKLEY MOVES RELEASE DATE FORWARD

Gnarls Barkley, the Grammy-winning, genre-wrecking partnership of artist/producer Danger Mouse and soul sensation Cee-Lo, will release their new album The Odd Couple a couple of weeks early.

Initially slated for an April 8th release, The Odd Couple will now be available digitally on March 18th, and will appear in retail outlets on March 25th.

"They felt the timing was right to just go for it," said an unnamed spokesman for the band. "With the shifting seasons, furtive romantic entanglements and fierce college basketball rivalries, the latter half of March can be confusing. People need to be soothed and inspired now."

The Odd Couple arrives in the wake of Gnarls Barkley’s international success with the 2006 LP St. Elsewhere. "Run," the propulsive first single from The Odd Couple, is already a radio staple, and its inventive video is gaining worldwide attention for its absurd humor and its controversial effects.

Fans can pick up free wristbands at the relevant store which allow them access to the event. Wristbands will be available only from the relevant store from 8.00 am on the day of the event onwards. One wristband per customer maximum, in person only, while stocks last, subject to availability, at participating stores only.
