OCTOBER 6TH

Fearless/Atlantic recording group Mayday Parade has revealed early details of their eagerly anticipated Atlantic debut album. "ANYWHERE BUT HERE" - which features the first single/video, "The Silence" - arrives in stores and at all online retailers on October 6th.

On July 29th, the Tallahassee, Florida-based band will premiere the album's title track via a MySpace World Premiere, located at www.myspace.com/maydayparade. The first single, "The Silence," will then begin shipping to Modern Rock radio outlets nationwide, with an official impact date slated for early September. "The Silence" will be available online and for purchase starting August 4th.

Mayday Parade will herald the release of "ANYWHERE BUT HERE" with a nearly non-stop tour schedule, including a co-headlining slot on Alternative Press' next "AP Tour." Dubbed "The Fall Ball '09," the tour kicks off on September 24th in Pittsburgh and then traverses North America through mid-November alongside The Academy Is..., Set Your Goals, The Secret Handshake, and You Me At Six (see attached itinerary). Pre-sale tickets to "The AP Tour Fall Ball ‘09" will be available beginning August 5th - see www.altpress.com/specials/theaptour for complete details.

In the meantime, Mayday Parade will travel America on a just-underway mid-summer tour alongside Metro Station. The dates run through an August 4th tour finale at Madison, Wisconsin's Majestic Theatre (see attached itinerary). Mayday Parade will also be performing a series of select headline shows, including top-billed dates in such cities as Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Iowa City, Toledo, and Louisville.

Produced by David Bendeth (Paramore, All Time Low), "ANYWHERE BUT HERE" follows Mayday Parade's 2007 breakthrough debut, "A LESSON IN ROMANTICS," which catapulted the young quintet to the forefront of modern punk-pop. Songs such as "When I Get Home, You're So Dead," "Jamie All Over," and "Miserable At Best" melded heartfelt lyricism with irresistible energy. Fueled by the band's fervent fan following, the album made a top 10 debut on Billboard's "Top Heatseekers" chart on its way to sales exceeding 100,000. The New York Post's Maxine Sheen called the album "emotionally charged" and "vicariously thrilling," while AOL Music's "PopEater" blog declared, "Mayday Parade writes songs that bring out the addict in all of us. Their catchy pop vocals, slap-in-the-face lyrics and bright, uptempo melodies are enough to send you to rehab for OD'ing on their debut album."

Mayday Parade has been a near-constant presence on the road since its formation in 2005. The band has toured as headliners; on multi-artist bills such as the "Compromising of Integrity, Morality, and Principles in Exchange for Money Tour" alongside All Time Low, The Maine, and Every Avenue; and on such festival roadshows as the Vans Warped Tour and the UK's Give It A Name.

In addition, Mayday Parade has contributed tracks to an array of collections, the most recent being their volatile cover of The Pussycat Dolls' "When I Grow Up," which is featured on the recently released "PUNK GOES POP 2" compilation

Mayday Parade is: Derek Sanders - vocals * Jeremy Lenzo - bass/vocals * Brooks Betts - guitar * Jake Bundrick - drums/vocals * Alex Garcia - guitar.
