Wiz Khalifa + Ty Dolla $ign Get ‘Shell Shocked’

What do you get when four green ninja warriors named after renaissance artists team up with two of the hottest contemporary artists in popular music? You get a fist full of “turtle power” and star power on the new single “Shell Shocked” featuring Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign and Juicy J. The track also features Kill The Noise & Madsonik. Paramount pictures recently released “Shell Shocked” to promote the highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie coming to theaters on August 8th! Check out the official music video!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand has been a major part of youth and pop culture for decades. Many of us grew up on Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael, our beloved pizza-munching, crime-fighting sewer turtles.

“[Paramount] heard about how big of a fan I was of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their whole legacy,” says Wiz Khalifa. “I actually have Donatello tattooed on my leg, so when they asked me to do it, just being a fan and being a musician, it made sense.”

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies came together to produce the 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film for a modern-day audience of all ages, revitalizing a franchise that has captivated so many fans over the years. In reference to his decision to contribute to the soundtrack, Wiz Khalifa recalled, “[Paramount] heard about how big of a fan I was of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their whole legacy...I actually have Donatello tattooed on my leg, so when they asked me to do it, just being a fan and being a musician, it made sense.”

In addition to the TMNT movie, Wiz Khalifa and Ty Dolla $ign are constantly collaborating and releasing new projects. Wiz Khalifa’s upcoming album Blacc Hollywood is available now for pre-order via his official website

Of course, Dolla $ign is experiencing much success with a strings of key collaborations with everyone from Chris Brown to The Weeknd. Check out The Beach House EP, his latest release that features a number of these collaborations. Also visit his official website!
