Milo Greene Is In Control

If you're not already a fan of Los Angeles indie-rock group, Milo Greene, you have some catching up to do. First, it's important to know that "Milo Greene" is not a person, it's a band. In fact, none of the members are named Milo.

To clear the air, Paste sat down with each member (Robbie Arnett, Graham Fink, Andrew Heringer, and Marlana Sheetz) and gave fans the chance to get to know the band a little better. The band's 2012 self-titled album can be found here.

For their second album, Control, the band wanted to challenge themselves and introduce a different sound. While their debut album had a dreamy, meloncholy vibe, Control features elements of pop, indie rock, and a blend of many other genres. As they told LA Weekly, "the idea of switching genres doesn't exist anymore. If the songwriting is there, it doesn't matter if it's a synth or mandolin, it will be good."

The band recently released a lyric video for "Lie To Me", the first single off of the new album. The official video is set for release in early February. A few days prior to the album release, Billboard hosted an album stream and gave the fans a taste of the new music. Fans were excited and had plenty of great feedback!

Fans can catch Milo Greene on their headlining tour of the US in Feburary and March, eventually landing at SXSW! On Wednedsay, January 28th, the band will be the musical guest on Conan. In the meantime, Control is available for download here or streaming here.
