Intern Rachel Talaska Shows Some Grouplove
By Rachel Talaska

As a full-time intern I'm able to take advantage of many company events and meetings that take place at Atlantic Records. Recently, I was invited to the premiere of Grouplove's documentary "I'm With You".

I have been following Grouplove since their first self-titled EP in 2011. It was exciting to be invited to an exclusive company event, especially for a band whose music I loved. The documentary "I'm With You", which was focused on the band's story from each member's point of view, was one of the best documentaries I had seen in a while. The scenes of Grouplove's shows were created to make you feel like you could be at The Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Grouplove's performances have so much energy, and with their unique sound, you can't help but tap your feet while sitting in your chair. The film alone ties you into feeling the band's energy at each show. Whether you only know one Grouplove song or you know them all, "I'm With You" allows you to connect with the band and get a behind the scenes look into their lifestyle like you never had before.

Not only was I able to be one of the first people to view this film, but at the end of the premiere, Grouplove made an appearance! Like any fan, I was starstruck. Being able to see them in person is a memory I'll never forget and one of the experiences that would not have happened without this internship.
