"Where Them Girls At"
I first produced a song for Florida, "The Club Can't Handle Me"…Because it was done a year before, I wanted [to put] a little craziness into it, something, you know, fresh. I called Nicki Minaj. I'd been chasing her for like a year. Finally, we got into the studio together, and she heard it. She fell in love with it…
"Little Bad Girl"
I played the instrumental for many months…People are [sic] going absolutely nuts when I play it--even without the song. You know, when a beat is a hit record without any chorus, without anything that they've ever heard before…When you see that kind of reaction, this is unique.
"Turn Me On"
"Turn Me On" was a challenge. I am a really big Nicki Minaj fan. And again, I wanted to take her somewhere she's never been…She is singing on that record, seriously singing. This is a huge performance, and I am really proud of her on that record.
Normally I don't really do remixes anymore, but that [sic] I knew it was going to be so big.
I don't even know what to say about this record 'cause it's so big. It's so emotional. It's surprising… And it's perfect for Usher…
"Nothing Really Matters"
"Nothing Really Matters" is just me going back to the studio with Will.i.am. It's always a lot of fun. We're like two crazy scientists having fun…two kids.
"I Can Only Imagine"
"I Can Only Imagine" is a really typical Guetta sound: electro beats, big piano breakdowns…I think my fans are gonna [sic] be at home. At at the same time, I invited two artists that I love. One is Chris Brown…the other one is 'Lil Wayne.
"Crank It Up"
Akon is my brother…when we're together, it's a party. We had so much fun…It was like being in a boxing ring fighting the beat and trying to find the best song possible. He never let me down, and I'm really proud of this record.
"I Just Wanna F."
I was trying to make a beat that was different. It was kind of my interpretation of hip hop…For the first time I was not doing a four-on-the-floor; I was doing like a different kind of drums and sounds.
"Night of Your Life"
It was not so easy to find an artist that could deliver vocally…because it needs to be a big voice. Jennifer Hudson: She totally killed it!
It's just a pure feel-good song. It's on that lane of "I Got A Feeling" [by the Black Eye Peas]. It's like me using acoustic elements and mixing them with electronic sounds…
I love the song. I love the music. I think it's really really special. It makes me very emotional, and I want to play it as a DJ too.
