The nominees for this year's MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs to those in the know) were announced yesterday, with Missy Elliott tying for the nod high score. T.I., Simple Plan, and Paul Wall also recieved nominations for their video achievements. Here's what they racked up:

Best Hip-Hop Video
Best Dance Video
Breakthrough Video
Best Choreography In A Video
Best Direction In A Video
Best Special Effects In A Video
Ciara's '1, 2 Step' featuring Missy was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Dance Video.
T.I. - 'You Don't Know Me'
Best Rap Video
Destiny's Child's 'Soldier' featuring T.I. was nominated for Best Group Video.
Simple Plan - 'Untitled'
Best Editing
Best Cinematography
Mike Jones w/ Slim Thug & Paul Wall - 'Still Tippin''
MTV2 Award
