Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard and Son Volt's Jay Farrar have teamed up on a new album inspired by Jack Kerouac's 1962 novel Big Sur. The album accompanies and shares a name with a feature-length documentary, 'ONE FAST MOVE OR I'M GONE', which contains guest appearances of writers, poets, actors and musicians including, Tom Waits and Sam Shepard. The album features 12 original songs composed and performed by the two artists with lyrics based on Kerouac's prose. The album and film will be released on October 20, the day before the 40th anniversary of Kerouac's death. Visit Kerouac Films for more.
