Screen Gems’ Executive Clint Culpepper, who made a deal to work with the rapper before his incarceration, plans to make good on his promise.
"When the hip-hop star finishes serving his year-and-one-day sentence in an Arkansas federal prison for trying to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers from federal agents, T.I.’s film career will be waiting for him."
Culpepper believes in T.I.’s work and won’t be deterred by his sentence. "If things come up that make sense for him, I will offer them to him,’ Culpepper said. `He’s serving his time right now, the system is working, and it doesn’t work by somebody walking away from a commitment because it’s convenient. It is not my job as a creative executive at a studio company to make him pay further, or to play judge and jury. He’s a very talented actor."
