MAINO SPEAKS ON "MILLION BUCKS" & HIS ALBUM TITLE IF TOMORROW COMES...

07.01.09

After several setbacks, IF TOMORROW COMES... has finally been released! "First, let's acknowledge the haters that said that, 'tomorrow's never gonna come.' I seen all that. I watched all that," Maino told SOHH. "Why did I choose that title? For one, tomorrow is not promised to nobody but if it does come I want my tomorrow to be greater than my today."

In anticipation of the "Million Bucks" video on its way, Maino had a few words about the record. "It was crazy. When Swizz first played it for me I said, 'Come on Swizz, I don't got a million dollars man.' He said, 'Nah, but I got a million dollars.' And we laughed. I found a way to be me without trying to look like I was more rich than what I was portraying. I didn't want to come off like I'm more richer than what I really am. It's a song about trying to spread love in the hood and giving back so I made it more or less like that."
