Trey Songz took part in a positive outreach event for youth groups in Chicago. The event featured a discussion of violence awareness from panelists such as Trey Songz, ex-Chicago gangster turned entrepreneur Noonie G., WGCI’s Tony Scoffield, and Frankie Robinson among others. The discussion, which included a Q&A with the students, was an uplifting reminder from influential and experienced people. They all conveyed the same general message: the negativity and senselessness around violence, the emphasis on making the youth aware of how violence is illustrated in the media, and the lasting quote from Trey Songz, “If you think it you can be it. Can’t nobody hold you down but yourself. Keep God first and everything else follows.” Checkout a clip from the panel discussion with Trey now, as well as a LIVE performance from Trey!
Be on the lookout for Trey's upcoming release READY, hitting stores August of 2009.
